This fitness DVD contains a total body training.

Denise Austin has carried out ten 5-minute workouts for every muscle group. In these workouts there are many different exercises but not so many repetitions. I personally like it the other way round but I must admit that therefore the workouts are varied.  She explains exactly how to carry out the exercises correctly and tries to motivate the people with great enthusiasm. But not everybody likes that.

The menu allows to do the whole workout or to customize your own program. Besides there are three additional programs in which Denise Austin has put together those workouts which either train the upper body, lower body or the abs.

So you can decide by yourself what kind of training you want to do.

It is an effective and varied total body workout for beginners and intermediates.

Denise Austin´s DVD is divided into three walking programs with different level. Each program lasts 15 min. and goes over a distance of 1 mile. It is a good idea to walk inside, so one is independent of poor weather conditions.

1. Easy Walk:  The moves in this workout are simple but definitely demanding for beginners.
2. Fat blast intervals: In this routine, there is a change in slow and quick movements and the arms are much more involved.
3. Power Walk und Tone: The first two workouts are without any equipment. In the third routine, lighter weights are used. This let the heart rate goes up and makes it varied. Not only the endurance is trained but also the strength.
4. Stretch

All three programs are suitable for beginners to intermediates because also beginners will improve their level sooner or later. However, one has to mention that the third workout is the most demanding.

A negative point is,  Denise Austin very often gives her instructions for the exercise modification too late. Also in these workouts, she is very annoying by trying to motivate the people and in contrast to her other DVDs this menu doesn´t allow to hide her instructions.

Apart from this, the menu is right. You can either carry out the entire workout or customize your program.

These workouts are not challenging enough for the advanced.      This DVD is not too bad

This DVD is divided into three different levels of intensity related to the above mentioned muscle groups.

The workouts are good manageable because each level is not too long  you can thus put together your own individual training plan to fit in with the time you have available.  For beginners this DVD helps to increase their fitness level step-by-step. Denise Austin suggests to work on each level 2 to 3 times a week for about 2 weeks before proceeding to the next level of intensity.

The exercises of all levels are varied. In the first two level Denise Austin explains in detail which muscles are involved and gives instructions how to carry out the exercises correctly.  This may be very helpful for beginners but if you work  with this fitness dvd  frequently it could be annoying. Then your only choice is to turn off the volume.

In my opinion these workouts are rather suitable for the beginners to the intermediates except maybe the part for the abs which is partly pretty challenging.

All in all a good DVD.
